Radical Grocery cupcake stall

A couple of posts ago I mentioned that I had settled in to my new house. Lucky for me I now happen to live above the Radical Grocery, Melbourne's only all-vegan fair trade ethical grocery store. It's perfect, a little too perfect really, considering at any time of the day or night I can walk through my living room and buy a Tofutti Cutie or Funky Pie. I've been restraining myself, but I have to admit the situation couldn't be more perfect.

My housemate Anikee, who owns and operates this amazing piece of real estate held a bake stall out the front of the shop during the Sydney Road Street Festival last Sunday. She whipped up six different flavours of cupcakes that not only looked and tasted amazing, but contained fair trade and ethical ingredients. I managed to nab a rosewater and pistachio, and a chocolate peanut butter before they were all sold. Both were simply incredible, and I wouldn't be surprised if a few people come back to the shop asking for more!

Top to bottom: Chocolate peanut butter (with cookies and cream in the background); pistachio rosewater; coconut rough; choc-mint; jam donut

How did the stall go? I hope RG made lots of money!

I got to try one of the choc mint cupcakes - it was very delicious!

Oh wow, those cupcakes all look amazing! I wouldn't have known which flavour to get and I'm impressed you only picked up 2 different ones! I have no restraint so lucky I don't live where you do or my bank balance would die!

Incredible! They look profesh quality. I can see that with two in-house amaaazing bakers this might become a den of cupcake iniquity ...

gorgeous cupcakes - now I really wish I had been able to go to the sydney rd fest on sunday - maybe I will manage to get down there to check if cupcakes are appearing - of course it would be much more convenient and tempting to actually live above RG but at least I can walk there if I feel energetic
